By participating, Entrants agree to these Official Rules, which are final and binding in all respects. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification.

The Entries may be submitted by the winners of the Best of City Film prize in the New Amsterdam and 48 Hour Film Project Competition. Entries will be posted to the Contest voting application on a dedicated New Amsterdam Facebook tab from 10:00 AM Pacific Standard Time (“PST”) on January 28, 2015 through February 16, 2015 at 11:59 PM PST (“the Voting Period”), during which time registered Facebook users may vote for their favorite Entry or Entries. Limit one (1) vote per person per Entry per day. You may not attempt to obtain votes by any fraudulent or inappropriate means, including, without limitation, by: (a) circumventing or encouraging others to circumvent the vote limits; (b) using any automated system to vote; or (c) offering any inducements to others in exchange for votes. You may share a link to the Contest voting application through your social media outlets and encourage others to vote for your Entry. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any votes it suspects were obtained through fraudulent or inappropriate means, or violate these Official Rules.

In the event of a tie, registered Facebook users may vote for their favorite tied Entry on the Facebook tab until 11:59 PM PST on February 17, 2015. Only the tied Entries will be included on the Facebook tab on February 17, 2015.

The Best of City Film prize winner whose Entry receives the most votes during the Voting Period will be awarded the Grand Prize. The one (1) Grand Prize is a check payable to winner in the amount of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000).

Prize winner is solely responsible for any taxes on the prize. Prize winner will receive an IRS Form 1099 for the prize value. Prize is non-transferable and not subject to substitution. Sponsor reserves the right to permanently disqualify any person or Entry from the Contest it believes, in its sole discretion, has intentionally violated these rules. Potential winner will be notified by phone and/or mail and will be required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release, and, where lawful, a Publicity Release, at Sponsor’s discretion, within ten (10) days of attempted notification, or prize may be forfeited.

By participating in the Contest, Entrant agrees to release, indemnify, and hold Sponsor and Facebook harmless from any and all claims, damages or liabilities arising from or relating to Entrant’s participation in the Contest. Any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Contest or the Prize awarded shall be resolved in the Superior Court of California, County of Stanislaus or the United States District Court, Eastern District of California; Entrants waive any objections to jurisdiction and venue. Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest, but in no event attorneys' fees or court costs. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of California without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules.
